Carla Luna is a Senior Consultant in Sonder Consultants’ New York office, where she specialises in advising M&A and Private Equity associates across the U.S., with a particular focus on the New York and California markets.

Carla graduated from Harvard Law School before beginning her legal career at Simpson Thacher, one of the world’s leading law firms and widely recognised as a premier firm for private equity. During her time there, she gained broad transactional experience across Mergers and Acquisitions, Capital Markets, and Real Estate Finance, working alongside leading sponsors, financial institutions, and corporate clients on complex, high-value matters. She later joined Massumi + Consoli as an Associate, where she focused on M&A transactions.

Having trained and practised within elite private practice environments, Carla brings a genuine understanding of the standards, expectations, and career considerations facing associates today. Her firsthand experience allows her to provide thoughtful, informed guidance to lawyers navigating important career decisions, and to support firms in securing talent with the right technical and cultural fit.

Based in New York, Carla works closely with associates and leading law firms across key U.S. markets, including California, where demand for high-calibre M&A and Private Equity lawyers remains particularly strong.
