Sonia is a highly experienced legal recruitment specialist with over 15 years’ experience, including nine years across the Asian legal market. As Director of Asia at Sonder, she leads the firm’s activity across Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, working with lawyers at all levels, from newly qualified associates to senior partner appointments.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Sonia began her international career in Singapore before settling in Hong Kong, where she has built a deep and established network. Alongside her Asia-focused practice, she also advises clients and candidates connected to key global markets, including London and New York.

Sonia is known for her commercial understanding of the legal market and her honest, pragmatic approach to career advice. She supports lawyers through complex career moves and works closely with elite US and white-shoe firms, Magic and Silver Circle practices, and leading offshore firms.
