June Yang

June Yang is a Principal Consultant at Sonder, specialising in legal recruitment across Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she works with leading U.S., UK and PRC law firms to recruit exceptional legal talent, from associates through to partners, across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Mainland China.

With more than eight years of legal recruitment experience, June specialises in advising international law firms and in-house legal teams across Asia. She recruits across a broad range of practice areas, including M&A, private funds, capital markets, banking & finance, litigation and regulatory, providing strategic recruitment advice, market insight and access to exceptional legal talent.

Before joining Sonder, June held recruitment roles at other search firms, where she successfully completed mandates for many of the world's leading law firms and Fortune 500 companies. Her experience spans private practice and in-house recruitment, with placements ranging from associates and legal counsel through to senior compliance leaders and partners.

June began her career in private practice at Dentons in Shanghai, working on intellectual property, corporate and commercial matters. Her legal background, combined with an LL.M. in U.S. and Global Legal Studies from Case Western Reserve University and dual degrees in International Law and English from East China University of Political Science and Law, gives her a deep understanding of the legal market and the needs of both clients and candidates.
