June Yang

June Yang is a Principal Consultant at Sonder, specialising in legal recruitment across Asia. Based in Hong Kong, she works with leading U.S., UK and PRC law firms to recruit exceptional legal talent, from associates through to partners, across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Mainland China.

With over eight years' experience in legal recruitment, June has built a strong reputation for delivering strategic hiring solutions across a broad range of practice areas, including M&A, private funds, capital markets, banking & finance, litigation and regulatory. She partners closely with both international law firms and in-house legal teams, providing market insight, recruitment advice and access to high-calibre lawyers across the region.

Before joining Sonder, June held recruitment roles at MRA Search, Hughes-Castell and Aquis Search, where she successfully completed mandates for many of the world's leading law firms and Fortune 500 companies. Her experience spans private practice and in-house recruitment, with placements ranging from associates and legal counsel through to senior compliance leaders and partners.

June began her career in private practice at Dentons in Shanghai, working on intellectual property, corporate and commercial matters. Her legal background, combined with an LL.M. in U.S. and Global Legal Studies from Case Western Reserve University and dual degrees in International Law and English from East China University of Political Science and Law, gives her a deep understanding of the legal market and the needs of both clients and candidates.
