The 2025 Global 100 Ranked by Revenue

The Global 100 ranking, produced by Law.com is more than a leaderboard — it’s a mirror of where the power, money, and momentum in the legal industry truly lie.

For the latest fiscal year, the world’s 100 largest law firms by revenue collectively generated well over $150 billion, a remarkable figure that underscores the industry’s resilience despite a backdrop of slower M&A, geopolitical volatility, and rising interest rates.

At the very top, Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins, and DLA Piper remain dominant forces, leveraging their depth in private equity, litigation, and global coverage. Their continued success reflects a broader trend: US firms are setting the pace, particularly in high-value transactional and disputes work.

But the ranking also reveals a more nuanced story. UK firms such as Clifford Chance, Freshfields, and Linklaters continue to hold their ground, while Asia-Pacific players bring scale that few can match. Specialist firms, too, are climbing the ranks by focusing on profitable niches.

For clients, the Global 100 represents stability and choice: access to unparalleled resources and expertise, wherever business is done. For lawyers, it highlights the opportunities — and the fierce competition — that come with operating on this stage.

At Sonder, we keep close watch on these shifts, not for the headline numbers, but for what they mean in practice: where the hiring demand is rising, which practice areas are driving growth, and how associates can align their careers with the firms shaping BigLaw’s next chapter.
