We are proud to announce that Sonder Consultants has exclusively partnered with the New Zealand Law Society – a national regular and supporter of the legal profession.

As a clear endorsement of the partnership, The New Zealand Law Society invited Sonder Consultants to speak in their latest webinar to discuss overseas opportunities in 2021/22.

At the virtual event, Matthew Hart, Sonder’s Director and Head of Australia, discussed the latest market intel across multiple overseas jurisdictions, including all-important salary information, visa requirements, and the best options for New Zealand lawyers looking to broaden their horizens.

Moving forward, we will be supporting the NZLS in future events, to help young lawyers further their career and scope out opportunities across overseas jurisdictions and within New Zealand.

About the New Zealand Law Society

As a national regulator, the New Zealand Law Society has dedicated duties and powers focused on monitoring, regulating, and enforcing the rules that apply to lawyers and how they practice law.

A pivotal arm to their offering also includes support services for wellbeing and mental health. For lawyers concerned about their welfare or that of a colleague, there are multiple counselling and mentoring programmes available.

Membership also provides access to a range of benefits including professional development and networking events.

The Law Society publishes a quarterly magazine and weekly email updates for the profession and makes information available to the community online. Over the last few years, Sonder has contributed to articles advising New Zealand lawyers on growing their career overseas.
